Should we contact the deceased's employer to find out if they were entitled to any company benefits?
Yes, the deceased’s work should be contacted to seek information regarding possible:
- Superannuation or pension benefits;
- Group life insurance;
- Holiday pay and/or sick pay;
- Long service leave;
- End of employment allowances or gratuities;
- Unpaid commissions;
- Disability income;
- Credit union balance; or
- Employer arranged sickness or hospital benefits.
